3 bean seeds or pea seeds 3 small cups or yogurt containers Potting soil or dirt Paper towel Water Ruler Pencil & this worksheet

⚠️ Safety: Wash hands after handling soil. Keep cups on a tray to catch water. Do not eat the seeds.

1 Plant A: Put a seed in a cup with soil. Place it in a sunny window. Water it a little every day. 2 Plant B: Put a seed in a cup with soil. Place it in a dark closet. Water it the same amount. 3 Plant C: Wrap a seed in a wet paper towel. Place it in a sunny window. No soil! 4 Measure each plant's height every day for 7 days. Record in the chart below. 5 Draw what each plant looks like on Day 7.
